‘Scrubs’ reboot gets major update after Donald Faison, Zach Braff revealed their stance

‘Scrubs’ stars Donald Faison and Zach Braff have previously shared their stance on a reboot

Scrubs fans will be glad to know a reboot of the show is finally in early development, per reports.

Creator Bill Lawrence is in the process of helming the reboot with Warner Bros. Television. Casting and other decisions haven’t been made yet.

However, main cast members of the show, including Donald Faison and Zach Braff have previously said they’re eager for a reboot and would love to work together again.

“It would be so much fun [with] all my favorite people,” Braff told Entertainment Tonight in August. “We all still hang out. A lot of people who were on long shows say that, but it’s true. I was just on vacation with Sarah Chalke … I’m going to the beach with Bill next weekend. We’re all friends.”

He also explained: “Scrubs is a Disney show. Bill [Lawrence] has a Warner Bros. deal. Once those two companies figure that out, I think the people will get what they want. I think it’s gonna happen.”

Faison, who portrayed Braff’s BFF Dr. Chris Turk on the series, also shared excitement to return to the show in February.

“We’re trying to work out a Scrubs situation,” Faison, 50, told Us Weekly. “I think everybody will be happy in the near future if you’re a Scrubs fan”

“It’s just that it’s really hard,” Faison explained of creating the reboot. “It can’t be a full season of a show — it would have to be a movie or something like that, where you could only give a couple of months to it. Everyone is doing things.”

Scrubs ran for nine seasons from 2001 and 2010 and starred Sarah Chalke in a lead role alongside Donald Faison and Zach Braff.
