Queen Camilla just carried on one of her most beloved holiday traditions despite her ailing health.

As per reports by PEOPLE magazine, the queen of UK hosted a tree trimming party at her and King Charles’ London residence on Thursday, December 12.

This occasion is an annual holiday tradition by Camilla, arranged in honour of the children of Helen & Douglas House, the world’s first children’s hospice, based in Oxfordshire as well as Roald Dahl’s Marvelous Children’s Charity.

The 77-year-old Queen consort is the patron of both organizations that provide practical, emotional and medical support to severely ill children as well as their families.

Camilla, who opened up about struggling with a chest infection, supposedly some sort of pneumonia, on December 3, along with her staff presented her guests with surprises.

The children were warmly welcomed by palace guardsmen and musical accompaniment from the Band and Bugles of the Rifles Regiment to the London residence.

It also featured a Christmas themed performance by the band as well as a Santa Claus and at the center of the joyous function was the tree trimming.

Queen Camilla then hosted a lunch with the children and their families as well as care-givers.

As the holiday season nears, the royals on both sides of the Atlantic have been hosting parties to support causes and charities they are passionate about.

Like, on December 6, Kate Middleton, who is making remarkable recovery from cancer, continued her tradition of hosting the fourth annual Together at Christmas carol concert, which was attended by 1,600 guests, including many members of the royal family.
